Beatriz Milhazes is a Brazilian visual artist renowned for her vibrant, complex abstract compositions that blend Brazilian cultural motifs, European modernist abstraction, Baroque ornamentation, and flora. Working across painting, collage, printmaking, and large-scale architectural installations, she represented Brazil at the 50th Venice Biennale in 2003 and has had major institutional retrospectives globally, including at MASP, the Pérez Art Museum Miami, Fondation Cartier, and the Turner Contemporary.
