Dayanita Singh is a contemporary Indian artist whose primary format is the book. She creates portable, endlessly reconfiguration 'museums' of black-and-white photography that challenge traditional museum display formats and examine Indian social architecture, music, and private domestic spaces. She was awarded the Hasselblad Award in 2022.
