John Akomfrah is a Ghanaian-born British artist and filmmaker, co-founder of the Black Audio Film Collective. He represents Great Britain at the 60th Venice Biennale (2024), recognized internationally for sweeping multi-screen video installations confronting memory, post-colonialism, climate change, and diaspora.
