Christian Marclay is an American-Swiss visual artist and composer who pioneered the use of gramophone records and turntable needles as musical instruments to create sound collages. His masterpiece video installation 'The Clock' (2010), a 24-hour cinema montage synchronized with real time, won the Golden Lion at the 54th Venice Biennale.
